Feeding a toddler is not easy. We know that some of them can be extremely fussy, only wanting to eat certain types of food and not being adventurous in trying new stuff. As mothers, all of us worry if our kids are getting all the nutrients they need to grow up healthy and strong. That is why we have narrowed down our top 2 snacks that will satisfy even the fussiest of toddlers.
Snack 1: Carrot Meatballs!
This recipe is handed down to me from my sister and ever since I’ve tried it, my toddler has been happily gobbling it up! It is fairly easy to make and a breeze to clean up. All you need is some carrots, ground beef or chicken and some applesauce. If you do not have carrots at home, you can substitute with spinach. Just be sure to finely chop all ingredients to make it easy for your baby to swallow. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and roll them into little balls. The smaller the balls are, the easier it is for your baby to pick them up. Once you’ve rolled all the balls, gently place them on a baking sheet and pop them into the oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
Snack 2: Sweet Potato Waffles
This is an even easier recipe and as an added bonus, it’s good for baby! Simply whisk flour, oats, eggs and blended sweet potato together until smooth. Pour in 1 tablespoon of the waffle mixture into your waffle maker and cook. Once cooked, serve it with applesauce.
